Oleksandr Usyk has officially confirmed that he is now serving as vice president of football club Polissya. “I’m starting a new chapter — as first vice president of football club Polissya. For me, this is not just a position. It is an opportunity to influence, strengthen, and develop Ukrainian sports at an even higher level. I have always said: strength is in discipline, honesty, and the team. These principles remain with me here as well,” Usyk said on social media.

One of the first areas of work for Usyk, according to him, will be refereeing reform in Ukraine. “I believe transparency and fairness should be the foundation of the game,” the heavyweight world champion added.

“Oleksandr Usyk and I signed a new contract,” club president Hennadiy Butkevych was quoted as saying by the press service. “He will be the first vice president of Polissya. He will have quite a lot of work, and one of the directions will be refereeing reform. This will involve cooperation with other clubs on this issue.”
