British boxer David Allen spoke about sparring with the world heavyweight champion according to WBA, WBO, IBF Alexander Usik.
“When Usyk hit my chin... It was our last sparring and there were only 20 seconds left until the end. I looked great in that sparring, but I got hit on the chin. In truth, Usyk is not the most powerful puncher. But it undermined my self-confidence. When Usyk hit me, I began to stagger. I remember being led around the ring. If I had held on for another 20 seconds, I would have considered myself the best heavyweight on the planet. But it really knocked my confidence. And it still influences us today.”
Let us remind you that on February 17, Usik will fight with Tyson Fury.
