McGregor's coach is sure: judges from the world of MMA must have fighting experience

John Kavanagh, mentor to the former two-division UFC champion Conor McGregor, believes that judges working at MMA fights should have fighting experience.

“Herb Dean's negative MMA record? It is not so important. The main thing is that he went through the path of a fighter. I always get nervous if a guy has never fought or boxed.

I prefer him to have a black belt in jiu-jitsu and a few MMA fights. If his resume is karate, then you are in danger.”
