Manny Pacquiao's getting ready to step back into the ring. The boxing legend has confirmed he'll fight again in December 2025.
Pacquiao's last bout was in July 2025 at the age of 46. He faced Mario Barrios for the WBC welterweight title at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The fight ended in a majority decision draw. One judge scored it 115-113 for Barrios, while the other two had it even at 114-114.
Before that, Pacquiao hadn't fought professionally since August 2021. His last win came way back in July 2019. This long break raised questions about whether he could still compete at the top level.
"This year. December."
That's what Pacquiao said when asked about his next fight. He shared this information on social media, confirming his return to the ring.
At first, people thought Pacquiao might have a rematch with Barrios. But now it looks like he's considering other options. There's talk about him possibly facing Rolly Romero, the current WBA welterweight champion. Ryan Garcia, who used to hold the interim lightweight title, is another name in the mix.
Pacquiao's team has also mentioned Gervonta Davis as a potential opponent. With the fight just four months away, they'll need to decide on an opponent soon.
This comeback has got boxing fans talking. Can Pacquiao still deliver in the ring? Will he be able to recapture his old form? We'll have to wait until December to find out.
