Shakur Stevenson and Teofimo Lopez are ready to face off in the ring. The two champions have agreed on social media to a super-lightweight clash set for January 2026.

Stevenson, who just defended his WBC lightweight title, plans to move up in weight for this fight. He beat William Zepeda by unanimous decision in July 2025 at Louis Armstrong Stadium, New York. That win pushed his record to 24-0 and quieted critics who had called his earlier fights boring.

Lopez holds the WBO super-lightweight belt. He used to be the unified champ at lightweight. His last fight was a win over Arnold Barboza in Times Square, New York, back in May 2025.

The two boxers started talking about the fight on social media. Lopez fired the first shot:

"It's going to feel good when this "lil dude" makes you his "lil bi*ch" in January! I suggest you take all the SNAC you possibly can, & even that won't help."

Stevenson didn't back down. He fired back:

"U called me out lil dude, I told u I'm down…. U know what feels even better u agreeing to the fight now shut yo p**sy ass up and make it happen."

This fight will kick off 2026 with a bang. Both guys have something to prove. Stevenson wants to show he can be exciting after getting heat for some dull fights before the Zepeda bout. Lopez wants to cement his spot at the top of the super-lightweight division.

The boxing world will watch closely as these two champs get ready to duke it out in January.
