Two-time world champion and commentator Shawn Porter determined the best finish of 2023 in boxing.

According to the American, the victory in this category should go to the Japanese Naoe Inoue, who knocked out a Filipino on December 26 in Tokyo Marlon Topales and became the absolute champion in the second bantamweight division.

“I’ll choose Naoya Inoue against Marlon Tapales. Naoya literally forced Tapales down to one knee, then the other, and Marlon's body language showed "I can't go on anymore."
