John Fury had no doubts about the correctness of stopping Saturday's fight between Fabio Wardley (20-0-1, 19 KO) and Joseph Parker (36-4, 24 KO). "Anyone who says the fight was stopped too early should be arrested and stripped of their license!" said the father of the "Gypsy King" in an interview with IFL TV.

"For me, it was 10 seconds late! Joe was taking unnecessary punches from a guy who could have knocked him out at any moment. In the ring, it's about people's lives; he has a family, kids—the referee needs to think about that. Joe was just being beaten," said John Fury.

"Of course, you could say he might have recovered. I know that in a title fight, it's customary to allow the opponent more, but people die in the ring! In that 11th round, bombs were falling on him, and he was defenseless. Too many fighters have lost their lives due to wrong referee decisions. Boxing is a dangerous sport. I was worried about Joe. He's left just skin and bones. Let him get an X-ray from head to toe in the hospital before being discharged," added Fury Sr.
