Veteran American trainer Robert Garcia believes a hypothetical showdown between unified heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and former titleholder David Benavidez could tilt in Benavidez’s favor if it happens down the line.
Robert Garcia is already looking ahead to a possible future clash between Oleksandr Usyk and David Benavidez, and the respected trainer sees timing as the key factor in that matchup.
Garcia said the biggest advantage for Benavidez would be age. In his view, if the fight were to take place two years from now, the Mexican-American star would have a real chance to defeat Usyk.

“I think in two years Benavidez beats Usyk. Usyk is almost 40 years old, so I can picture Benavidez beating him in two years,” Garcia said.
