UFC welterweightAnthony Smith gave his prediction for the upcoming bout between Alexander Volkov and Sergey Pavlovic.
"The Pavlovic vs. Volkov fight is very interesting to me. It's just super. I'm still a little bit more leaning towards Pavlovic winning. Because Volkov, despite all his strengths, is still not a puncher. He won't put you out with one punch. And it will be a little bit easier for Pavlovic, because he'll be able to find the right distance and start throwing his bombs, and it will be hard to move him, especially for a tall guy like Volkov. All in all, a very cool and interesting fight."
Recall that Pavlovic's fight with Volkov will take place on June 22 at the UFC event in Saudi Arabia.
UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov named the key to victory in his upcoming fight with Sergey Pavlovich.
"The most important thing is not to piss! Everything else is a matter of chance. Sergey knows how to knockout with any punch. The main thing here is just to be ready for it and not to be afraid. What is the probability that the fight with Pavlovich will not happen? Well, it's like the probability that you will meet a dinosaur in the street - 50/50: either you will or you won't. It's the same here: the fight will either happen or it won't. In fact, the probability is that it's going to happen. And what will happen in two months, it's hard for me to say. I'm still preparing for this fight," said the fighter.
UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov talked about how his sparring sessions with Sergey Pavlovich went. Volkov noted the power of Sergey's punching.
"Well you saw these sparring sessions yourself, he hits like a hoof - very hard. It was very hard to work with him. I think I didn't win a single round against him. Of course, after every punch. My legs were shaking. To be honest, when he came to sparring, I tried to stand with him less, because I realized that every time he hit, some injury could happen. I stood up for the very first rounds with him and tried not to stand up anymore. Because when Sergey was warming up, he could hit very hard", - said the fighter.
The manager of UFC heavyweight Alexander Volkov made a statement regarding his recently announced bout with Sergey Pavlovic.
Former UFC interim heavyweight title challenger Sergei Pavlovic said he has no plans to fight Alexander Volkov, despite the bout being announced by promotion head Dana White.
