Former UFC champion in two weight classes Daniel Cormier talked about how he helped Khabib Nurmagomedov after the fight with Conor McGregor.

“The tickets were so rare that I, as the UFC champion in heavyweight and light heavyweight, had to buy them. Khabib was not nervous at the most important moment of his life. I know this moment was more important than anything we all participated in. We had so many titles in our gym, but we had never participated in anything like this, and we got the right guy. Khabib was perfect for this.

The fight starts, and Khabib completely loses his mind from the desire to get the belt. I explained to him: “Please, champion, please.” We were taken out of the front row to protect us from the debris flying around. Finally, Khabib calms down. He told me later that he didn’t know if he could take control of the situation without me,” Cormier said on the ESPN podcast.
