Chimaev will be insuring Du Plessis' fight with Strickland - Sonnen's opinion

Chael Sonnen thinks that Khamzat Chimaev has insurance for the fight between Du Plessis and Strickland, which will take place on February 9.

"I think Khamzat Chimaev is insuring a title fight. I don't believe that Khamzat Chimaev is just the number one contender. Given his difficulties in traveling to the West, I don't believe you set up this fight in Australia without putting Chimaev as a backup fighter. I'm sure Chimaev will have a presence there, so why not put him on the scales if you're taking him there anyway? I only have one answer to that question."
