Kamaru Usman, the former UFC welterweight champion, has announced that he will reclaim the championship belt by the end of this year.
"Give me enough time and at the end of this year or the beginning of next year, I'll regain the UFC welterweight championship belt, one hundred percent. Someone will probably say, 'He lost twice to Leon Edwards,' because people get amnesia very quickly. People forget that I was winning for almost 24 minutes of the fight until lightning struck and Leon landed that leg kick."
Recall, the current champion of the promotion in this weight is Belal Muhammad.
