Arman Tsarukyan, a ranked UFC lightweight, says his main mission in sports has nothing to do with money.
Arman Tsarukyan isn’t framing his career around paychecks or a single title win. The UFC lightweight contender said his bigger ambition is to build a legacy across multiple disciplines and become one of the greatest all-around athletes in combat sports history.
“I do this for fun, and people think I’m not hungry enough, that I’ll win the UFC title and leave. That’s not true, guys — I’m here for the long run. I don’t just want to make money and beat the UFC champion. I want to become one of the best athletes in history — be the best in MMA, be the best in wrestling, be the best in grappling, and if the UFC lets me box, I’ll switch to boxing.
So I can box, I can wrestle, I know grappling, and I’m the best in my sport, in MMA. If they have some influencer for me that I can box on Dana White’s card against — I’ll do it. Easy money!” the fighter told The Schmo.
