Ortega has been offered a lightweight bout

UFC welterweight Brian Ortega has stated that he was offered a lightweight bout and he accepted the offer.

"The UFC guys said there's no fighter in the featherweight division that they would like to see me against. So they offered me to move up to lightweight, I said yes. Yes, they gave me an opponent for UFC 306. But I can't tell you his name because our fight could still happen. I hope it will be so," Ortega said in an interview with MMAJunkie.

We will remind, on June 29, Ortega will fight Diego Lopez at UFC 303.
