Cejudo spoke in favor of organizing a fight between Chimaev and Makhachev

Former UFC champion in two weight classes Henry Cejudo stated that he would like to see a fight between the current title holder in the welterweight division Khamzat Chimaev and former lightweight champion Islam Makhachev.

“Khamzat wanted to drop down to welterweight. He is already saying that he wants to be No. 1 in the P4P rankings. Therefore, his fight with Islam Makhachev is possible. We’ll just have an explosion in that case. Imagine, two highlanders, Chechnya against Dagestan, and they are both wrestlers,” Cejudo stated on the YouTube channel Pound 4 Pound with Kamaru & Henry.

Let us remind you that last weekend Chimaev won by unanimous decision against Drikus Du Plessis at UFC 319 in Chicago.
