Usman recalled his defeat to Chimaev

Kamaru Usman, former UFC champion in the welterweight division, recalled his defeat to Khamzat Chimaev.

“Once and for all, let’s get this straight. Fans say: ‘Oh, yeah. You took the fight on short notice.’ And look: that day I understood what kind of fighter I am, how I approach this fight, who I am in this game, and who Khamzat Chimaev is. And it was still my loss! And it was still a victory for Chimaev. It’s a defeat, and I regard it as a defeat. I only have respect for how we approached that bout.”
