Former interim UFC lightweight champion Dustin Puryear said he may have injured his cruciate ligament of the knee in his fight with Islam Makhachev.
"I probably hurt my crosses when I hit the net in the third or fourth round before I went on the attack. I don't remember exactly which round it was. I felt a burning sensation in my knee, but I can't say for sure, I'll check it in the clinic anyway. In the fight itself, I had no problem getting on the chair and get up from it during the breaks between rounds," - quotes the American Middle Easy.
Recall, June 1 in the main event of UFC 302 in Newark, USA, Puryear lost to Makhachev by choke in the fifth round.
