Murat Gassiev, a former opponent of Oleksandr Usyk who recently received Armenian citizenship, weighed in on Oleksandr’s upcoming fight with Rico Verhoeven.
"I don’t know. Maybe it’s an easy fight to come back to the ring. But for me, it’s not a real fight — it looks more like a show. Maybe after this bout Usyk will retire altogether. I don’t know what his plans are. We’ll see. Maybe he’ll go into retirement. Or maybe it’s just an easy comeback fight, after which Usyk will have new options for the future. Like I said, we’ll see what happens."
