The incident occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway and involved a Lexus carrying Joshua, along with his sports coach Sina Ghami and personal trainer Kevin Latif Ayodele. While Joshua suffered minor injuries, Ghami and Ayodele sadly did not survive the crash.

A burst tire during an overtaking maneuver at over 65 mph caused the vehicle to collide with a parked truck, as detailed by Nigerian police. Adeniyi, aged 47, recuperated from minor injuries before law enforcement interviewed him at state police headquarters.

Reports from the Daily Mail confirmed that Adeniyi will likely face charges within 48 hours. A court appearance for him could happen as soon as Friday.

While Adeniyi shared his version of events leading up to the crash, police also initiated a search for the missing driver of the parked truck involved in the accident. Early on New Year's Day, authorities worked diligently to repatriate the bodies of Sina Ghami and Kevin Latif Ayodele out of Lagos.

As investigations progress, friends and colleagues mourn the loss of these vital members of Anthony Joshua's team while awaiting further developments in this unfortunate event.
