Haney wants to become a three-weight world champion. He's set to challenge Norman Jr for the WBO welANB Arena in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on November 22. But Haney's dad and trainer, Bill Haney, wants Norman Jr to start Voluntary Anti Doping Testing right away.

Norman Jr's team suggested starting the tests on August 1. This didn't sit well with the Haney camp.

Bill Haney said to Norman's father:

"Okay but what I'm saying is that's not [happening], we're not doing that, so you giving me the answer that you guys aren't signing up now?"

Norman's father fired back:

"Tell Turki that Brian Norman won't sign up on whatever today is. I want you to go ahead and tell Turki, say 'Listen they wanna start August the 1st.' Even though y'all paying for eight weeks, we wanted them to do extra testing, they refusing to go by what we say. Go tell Turki that you pulling out of the fight."

Norman Jr tweeted on July 18:

"I'm about to go out the country all next week. When I get back it's damn near August so I said let's start then. Your boy will be ok. This will be a clean ass whoopin"

Drug testing is a to Haney. His last fight against Ryan Garcia ended as a no contest after Garcia tested positive for a banned substance. Haney had been knocked down three times in that bout.

Haney's most recent fight was a win over Jose Ramirez on May 2 in New York City. The fight didn't wow fans.

The clock's ticking down to November this big welterweight title fight. Both sides need to sort out their differences soon, or boxing fans might miss out on seeing two of America's top boxers go at it.
