Lamont Roach Unleashes Scathing Attack on Gervonta Davis: "He's Running Scared"

The two fighters left fans wanting more after their dramatic and controversial draw in March. Everyone thought they'd get to see round two, with the date set and Roach already in training camp. But Davis didn't sign the contract, and now the whole thing's fallen apart.

Davis got arrested in Miami recently for misdemeanor battery, which didn't help matters. This put a big question mark over whether the fight would happen at all.

Roach decided to talk to his fans directly on a livestream. He didn't hold back:

"I just think he don't wanna fight. That sh*t gettin' me mad. I was sharp as a m********r this morning... and now this? He is scared. I ain't gon' lie."

Roach's frustration comes through loud and clear. He's been working hard, getting ready for a fight that might not happen.

Boxing insider Rick Glaser confirmed on X that the fight was off:

"Tank Davis-Lamont Roach PBC card won't happen August 16. Tank doesn't want to fight the very tough Roach again."

Roach proved he could go the distance with Davis in their first fight. Most people think he deserves another shot. But Davis and his team haven't said anything official about why the fight's not happening.

Maybe Davis is waiting for his legal troubles to clear up. Or maybe he's avoiding a risky fight. It could just be normal boxing business - nothing's real until the contracts are signed.

Whatever the reason, Roach says he's done waiting. Fans are left wondering if they'll ever see the fight that could have been.
