Shannon Briggs thinks Oleksandr Usyk will beat Daniel Dubois in their upcoming rematch. The former heavyweight champ shared his prediction for the July 19 fight in a recent interview.

Usyk has never lost as a pro. He became the undisputed cruiserweight champ in 2018 and did the same at heavyweight this May when he beat Tyson Fury. That win came after he'd already beaten Anthony Joshua twice.

But Dubois gave Usyk his toughest test yet when they first fought last August in Poland. He knocked Usyk down for the first time in his pro career with a body shot some thought was low. Usyk recovered and stopped Dubois in the ninth round, but it was close.

Now they'll do it again, and Usyk could make history. If he wins, he'll be the first boxer to be undisputed twice at heavyweight in the four-belt era.

When asked about the rematch, Briggs kept it simple. In an interview, he said:

"Tough one but I got Usyk, I got Usyk, yes."

The winner will have plenty of challengers waiting. The IBF and WBC haven't named their mandatory fighters yet, but guys like Derek Chisora and Joseph Parker could be in the mix.

There's also talk of Usyk and Fury finishing their trilogy next year. But first, Usyk needs to get past Dubois one more time.
