Jake Paul beat Julio Cesar Chavez Jr in a boxing match on June 28, 2023. The fight took place at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California. Paul won by unanimous decision, marking his best victory to date.

The 28-year-old from Cleveland, Ohio, known as "The Problem Child," dominated the fight from start to finish. Paul showed a mature and comprehensive performance against the former world champion.

After the win, Paul called out several big names in boxing. He mentioned Gilberto 'Zurdo' Ramirez and Badou Jack, both reigning world cruiserweight champions. He also named Anthony Joshua, the two-time world heavyweight champion.

"Canelo is next,"
Paul posted on social media following his victory.

Canelo Alvarez, the undisputed super-middleweight champion from Mexico, has a busy schedule ahead. He'll face Terence 'Bud' Crawford on September 13 at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. Alvarez also signed a four-fight deal with Riyadh Season. His next bout will be against former IBF super-middleweight champion William Scull on May 3.

Paul and Alvarez had talked about fighting each other before. Those plans fell through when Canelo made his deal with Riyadh Season.

Paul's win over Chavez Jr moves him closer to getting a shot at a real world title. The YouTuber-turned-boxer keeps improving with each fight, surprising many in the boxing world.
