Terence Crawford and Canelo Alvarez will face off in Las Vegas on September 13. The two champions will battle for Canelo's undisputed super-middleweight titles.
Crawford shared the new date and location in a video interview with Jai McAllister.
"The fight will be in Las Vegas, Nevada. September 13th."
The fight was originally set for September 12 at Allegiant Stadium. Organizers pushed the date back 24 hours to Saturday and considered New York and Los Angeles as potential venues before settling on Las Vegas.
'Bud' Crawford spent most of his career at welterweight (147lbs). He moved up to super-welterweight (154lbs) for his last fight in August, beating Israil Madrimov in Los Angeles for the WBA title.
Now, Crawford aims to jump up two weight divisions. He'll try to become a five-weight world champion and the first male three-weight undisputed champion. The odds are against him, but former three-weight world champion James Toney thinks Crawford can pull off the upset.
Canelo became the undisputed super-middleweight champion in May. He defeated IBF champion William Scull to add that belt to his WBC, WBA, and WBO titles.
The super-fight is set. Crawford and Canelo will meet in the ring on September 13 in Las Vegas, with all the super-middleweight marbles on the line.
