Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, Mexico's boxing superstar, will make over $1 billion when he retires. That's what his business rep Richard Schaefer thinks will happen in the next few years.

Canelo's fame keeps growing. He's not just a great boxer - he's also really smart with money. Schaefer says Canelo is the best boxing businessman he's ever met.

"He's the smartest boxing entrepreneur I've ever met. He's going to surpass a billion dollars in net worth. I have no doubt about that."

Canelo's made some big money deals in his career. He once signed a $365 million contract with Golden Boy Promotions and DAZN for 11 fights. That deal didn't work out, though, and Canelo ended up splitting with Oscar de la Hoya's company.

Now, Canelo's got a new deal that could be worth $400 million. It's with Riyadh Season and Turki Al-Alshikh for four fights. He's already done one of those fights against William Scull and made $80 million. Next up, he might fight Terence Crawford and could make $150 million from that.

In the next couple of years, Canelo might fight guys like Dmitry Bivol or David Benavidez. These fights will make him even richer.

When Canelo finally hangs up his gloves, he'll be one of the wealthiest boxers ever. He's made millions from his fights, he's still involved in the boxing business, and he's smart with his money. All of this adds up to a very rich retirement for Canelo.
