Former Champ Carl Froch Reveals Surprising Heavyweight Pick to Dominate Usyk: "He'd Bash Him"

Usyk has made quite a name for himself in the boxing world. He's never lost a fight and has achieved something special - he's the only boxer in the modern era to hold all four belts as undisputed champion in both the cruiserweight and heavyweight divisions. He's beaten some big names too, like Anthony Joshua and Tyson Fury, each twice. And he's never been knocked down in these fights.

Just recently, Usyk beat Daniel Dubois. Now, he's getting ready for a rematch with Dubois at Wembley Stadium in July. In this fight, he'll try to win back the IBF belt he had to give up for his second fight with Fury.

Despite all of Usyk's accomplishments, Froch believes a legendary heavyweight from the past would have no trouble with him or any other current heavyweight. In an interview with talkSPORT Boxing, Froch said:

"George Foreman, if he was around in the era of the heavyweights I've just mentioned there, you can forget all the other heavyweights, he'd have bashed them to bits, they wouldn't have been able to live with him."

Foreman is a legendary former world champion. Many people know him best for his upset loss to Muhammad Ali in the famous "Rumble in the Jungle." He also set a record by becoming the oldest heavyweight world champion at 45 years old.

Foreman's power and skill made him a force to be reckoned with in his prime. Froch clearly believes that power would be too much for today's heavyweights, even a skilled champion like Usyk.

It's always fun to imagine how fighters from different eras would match up. While we can't know for sure, Froch's opinion adds an interesting perspective to the ongoing debates about the greatest heavyweights of all time.
