Terence Crawford thinks Floyd Mayweather would beat Manny Pacquiao if they fought in their prime. The current welterweight champion shared his view in a recent interview with Club Shay Shay.

Crawford's opinion comes years after the actual fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao. The two boxing legends finally met in the ring on May 2, 2015, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Billed as "The Fight of The Century," the bout put the WBC, WBA, and WBO welterweight titles on the line.

Mayweather won by unanimous decision, but the fight didn't live up to the hype. Fans and pundits left feeling disappointed after years of buildup.

When asked about a hypothetical matchup between the two fighters in their prime, Crawford didn't hesitate.

"Floyd Mayweather. Floyd beat everybody."

The interviewer pushed further, asking if any light-welterweight or welterweight in boxing history could have beaten Mayweather. Crawford's response showed his high regard for "Money" Mayweather:

"I don't know but it'd be tough. Floyd man, that boy is the GOAT, that boy is bad."

Mayweather's career stats back up Crawford's opinion. He retired with a perfect 50-0 record, including wins over boxing greats like Pacquiao, Oscar De La Hoya, Canelo Alvarez, and Miguel Cotto.

Mayweather hung up his gloves professionally in August 2017 after beating UFC star Conor McGregor. Since then, he's kept busy with exhibition bouts against Logan Paul, Tenshin Nasukawa, and John Gotti III.
