Chris Eubank Jr and Conor Benn will finally face off this Saturday at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. The long-awaited fight marks the return of Benn to UK boxing after a three-year absence.

The match was originally set for October 2022 but got called off when Benn failed a drug test. Since then, Benn's been through a long process with the British Boxing Board of Control and UK Anti-Doping to clear his name.

While sidelined in the UK, Benn picked up two low-key wins in the USA. His last fight on home soil was back in April 2022, when he stopped Chris van Heerden in two rounds in Manchester.

Eubank Jr's had a busy year. He lost to Liam Smith by fourth-round stoppage in January 2023 but got his revenge eight months later with a 10th round TKO. He followed that up in October with a seventh-round knockout of Kamil Szeremeta in Saudi Arabia.

Joe Calzaghe, who won his first world title against Chris Eubank Sr in 1997 and held world honors for over a decade, thinks Eubank Jr has the edge. Speaking to Talksport Boxing, he said:

"Yeah I think it's a tough one to call. Talent-wise I think they're on the same sort of level but size normally size wins fights so I sort of edge with Eubank as he's the bigger guy naturally."

The winner of Saturday's bout might have another challenge waiting. A retired former world champion has already shown interest in fighting whoever comes out on top.
