Canelo's last fight was a unanimous decision victory over Edgar Berlanga on September 15, 2024. Now, he's set to lace up the gloves again in what will be his first bout outside of Mexico and the USA.

The fight is scheduled for 21:00 Central Mexico Time, which translates to 06:00 local time in Riyadh. Alvarez specifically asked for this early morning start to make it convenient for his Mexican fans to watch.

Canelo brings an impressive record to the table. Out of his 66 professional fights, he's won 62, lost only 2, and drawn 2. His knockout power is evident with 39 of those wins coming by way of KO.

His opponent, William "El Indomable" Scull, is no pushover. The Cuban fighter has maintained a perfect record since his professional debut in 2016. Scull knocked out Dario Avalos in the first round of that debut fight and hasn't looked back since. He's racked up 23 wins with no losses, 9 of those victories coming by knockout.

The Arena in Riyadh will host this intriguing matchup between the experienced Mexican champion and the rising Cuban star. It's a clash that promises to test both fighters' skills and determination.

"I'm excited to fight in Saudi Arabia for the first time," Canelo said in a press conference. "Scull is a tough, undefeated fighter, but I'm ready for the challenge. My fans in Mexico and around the world can count on me to put on a great show."

Scull, for his part, sees this as his big chance to make a name for himself on the world stage.

"Canelo is a legend, but every legend can fall," Scull stated. "I've worked my whole career for an opportunity like this. On May 3, the world will see what 'El Indomable' can do."

Boxing fans around the globe are counting down the days to this East-meets-West showdown in the Middle East. Will Canelo add another victory to his storied career, or will Scull pull off the upset of a lifetime? We'll find out on May 3 in Riyadh.
