Teofimo Lopez, a fellow boxer, thinks Garcia will come out on top. In a chat with Little Giant Boxing, Lopez shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight.
"I got Ryan. I got Ryan Garcia … He hasn't been fighting [that often] and being stopped the way he was… I think he might be changing trainers, but even then…"
Lopez pointed to Romero's past knockout losses and lack of recent fights as reasons for his prediction. But he didn't dismiss Romero entirely.
"I think it's a great match-up. Ryan needs to be careful with Rolly's punching power. Rolly's still got power, man, and definitely could do something to Ryan with those shots."
It's worth noting that Gervonta Davis once said Romero hit harder than anyone else he'd faced.
Garcia's return to the ring comes after a one-year doping suspension handed down by the New York State Athletic Commission. Both fighters pack a punch, with over 80% of their combined wins coming by knockout.

The Garcia-Romero bout will share a card with Lopez's own WBO Super-Lightweight World Title defense against Arnold Barboza.
If Garcia wins, he might face Devin Haney next, provided Haney beats Jose Ramirez. That matchup would be their second encounter after a controversial first contest last year.
