Jake Paul keeps busy in the boxing world, even when he's not lining up his next fight. The founder of Most Valuable Promotions (MVP) is either training hard or looking for new ways to make money. Right now, he's focused on growing MVP's roster of fighters.
On Wednesday, Paul's company made a big move by signing several women's boxing champions and up-and-comers. This adds to MVP's already strong lineup in women's boxing, which includes Amanda Serrano, who has a lifetime deal with the company, and the recently added undisputed champion Alycia Baumgardner.
Amanda Serrano took to X (formerly Twitter) to welcome one of the new signings, calling Ellie Scotney "my dimple sis". Scotney is a unified super-bantamweight champion, holding the WBO, IBF, and The Ring belts at 122 pounds. At 27 years old, she's undefeated with a 10-0 record and has beaten tough opponents like Cherneka Johnson, Segolene Lefebvre, and Mea Motu.
MVP didn't stop there. They also signed Jennifer Miranda, who's set to fight Alycia Baumgardner on July 11 at Madison Square Garden. This fight will be part of the Katie Taylor vs. Serrano card, making it a big night for MVP's fighters.
The company rounded out its signings with Shurretta Metcalf and Elizabeth Oshoba. Oshoba, like Miranda, is undefeated and competes in the same weight class.
Paul's strategy of aggressively signing top women's boxing talent shows MVP's commitment to strengthening its position in this part of the sport. With these new additions, MVP has significantly expanded its presence in women's boxing, setting the stage for more exciting fights and potential champions in the future.
