Canelo Alvarez Endorses Dana White's Boxing Venture: "It's What The Sport Needs"

White wants to make sure the best fighters square off against each other. He's tired of politics getting in the way of big matches. That's why he's starting this league under the TKO banner.

Alalshikh called it "a new chapter in boxing history." He's excited about what's coming.

There's talk that Canelo Alvarez might fight in the league's first event in September. When asked about it, Canelo said, "Yeah, there's always an opportunity to fight in September."

White explained the league's simple approach: "Everybody knows the format. The best fight the best."

Ariel Helwani, a well-known reporter, thinks we might see Alvarez fight Terence Crawford. He says it could happen on Netflix as one of two huge fights planned for this year.

Canelo's been busy lately. He signed a deal to fight four times with Riyadh Season. His next bout is in May against William Scull, who's never lost and holds the IBF belt.

Jake Paul, another boxer, wasn't happy about Canelo's deal. He called Alvarez a "slave" and said Alalshikh was "stealing" fighters.

White brushed off Paul's comments. He said, "Listen, they control the sport of boxing right now. I don't think it's hard for them to steal anybody from anybody."

So, will Canelo fight Crawford in White's new league this September? We'll have to wait and see.
