Former world boxing champions Ebony Bridges and Kell Brook have announced the birth of their son, Ezerra Ray Brook. The couple shared the happy news in an emotional Instagram post and also joked that this may be the first time something like this has happened in the sport.
Kell Brook (40-3, 28 KOs), former welterweight champion of the world, and Ebony Bridges (9-2, 4 KOs), former flyweight champion, have been dating for some time, but have managed to keep it a secret. The media, at least, did not report on Ebony's pregnancy. But now the happy parents have proudly unveiled their son to the world, who was born on February 20.
"Our little champion. The first child in boxing history conceived from two world champions, but there will be no pressure on him. We are full of love," the happy mom wrote on social media.
Bridges hasn't boxed since December 2023, when she lost the IBF title to Miyo Yoshida. Brook briefly returned from retirement in early 2022 to inflict a crushing defeat on his media opponent Amir Khan by technical knockout in the sixth round.
