Ryan Garcia claims Canelo Alvarez thinks he'll beat Devin Haney again. The young boxer shared this prediction in a recent video, saying Canelo told him it would be "easy work."

Garcia and Haney first fought in April 2024 at the Barclays Center in New York. The bout turned into a non-title affair after Garcia missed weight. He won on points, but the result was later changed to a no contest when Garcia failed a drug test.

Both fighters have moved on to new challenges. Garcia will face Rolly Romero on May 2 in New York, while Haney, the former WBC super-lightweight champion, will take on Jose Ramirez in the same month.

Garcia's behavior in the weeks leading up to the first Haney fight was erratic. He's now back training with Eddy Reynoso, who also coaches Canelo.

"He told me that it's easy work, that I'm gonna beat Devin again. That's what he said,"
Garcia claimed in a short video discussing Canelo's prediction.

Canelo, the current WBC, WBA, and WBO super-middleweight champion, will fight IBF champion William Scull on May 3 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This bout comes just a day after Garcia's fight with Romero.

If Garcia and Haney both win their May fights, a rematch between them could happen later in 2024. The boxing world will watch closely to see if Canelo's prediction for his stablemate comes true.
