Lawrence Okolie Drops Bombshell on Dubois vs Parker Winner: "It's Not Even Close"

The fight will happen on February 22 in Saudi Arabia. It's a big deal for both fighters. Dubois has really stepped up lately. He's won his last three fights against tough opponents like Anthony Joshua, Fillip Hrgovic, and Jarrell Miller. All of those wins came by stoppage.

Parker, the former WBO champion, is also on a roll. At 33, he's more experienced and has beaten Zhilei Zhang and Deontay Wilder in his last two fights. Some say Parker is just hitting his stride now.

Okolie talked about the fight in an interview with Seconds Out before his heavyweight debut last year. He said:

"They're really putting Dan in there, fight after fight after fight, hard fights."

But Okolie also pointed out that Parker could give Dubois trouble:

"Stylistically [Parker] could cause him a lot of problems with his speed and experience. He's been in there with the likes of Wilder and Zhang, two massive punchers. Dan's got great power but it's not something he hasn't seen before."

Even so, Okolie thinks Dubois will win because he's on such a hot streak right now. But he added a warning: "I can just see how Parker could nullify and work his way to a points decision."

The winner of this fight might get a shot at Oleksandr Usyk to decide the undisputed champion of the division.

As for Okolie himself, he's in talks to fight Luis Ortiz in the UK, according to ESPN.
