Deontay Wilder Reveals Shocking Betrayal Behind Recent Losses: "It Wasn't Just Me In There"

The 39-year-old American, known as "The Bronze Bomber," plans to make his comeback in April. Wilder's recent record includes losses to Tyson Fury twice, Joseph Parker, and Zhilei Zhang. His only win in this stretch came against Robert Helenius in the first round.

After Zhang stopped Wilder in the fifth round, many people thought it was time for the Alabama native to hang up his gloves. But Wilder isn't ready to call it quits just yet.

In an interview with TMZ, Wilder explained why he's been struggling lately:

"Yeah we're still training. I broke my arm way back in November some time and I didn't know. I had two tears on my shoulder and stuff like that. Stretching out I could feel the pain but I just thought it was old injuries and stuff so I never got it checked out, but to come to find out on my very last [session], that's when I got MRI'd, that everything was f***ed up in there. I didn't know cause I got a high tolerance of pain."

Wilder also opened up about personal issues that have affected his performance:

"For me, the best is yet to come. Yeah, we're still going. We're still here, we'll just get thing together. I had a lot of outside distractions that I had to get rid of. A lot of burden up on me. I took care of a lot of people, man. It just came to a point where I couldn't do it no more. I got seven kids of my own I can't take care of everybody. Even the closest ones to me, I've been betrayed by so many people. It's been a domino effect for the last five years. Anybody know about betrayal it's worse than heartbreak."

Despite these setbacks, Wilder remains optimistic about his future in the sport. He's determined to prove that he's still a force to be reckoned with in the heavyweight division.

Rumors suggest that Wilder might face Stephen Shaw, a heavyweight journeyman who claims to have signed a contract for the fight. However, no official announcement has been made yet.

As Wilder prepares for his return, fans will be eager to see if the knockout artist can recapture the form that made him one of the most feared punchers in boxing history.
