Parker's career has seen ups and downs. He grabbed the WBO title in 2016 by beating Andy Ruiz Jr in New Zealand. After that, he defended his belt twice, winning on points against Razvan Cojanu and Hughie Fury. But in March 2018, he lost to Anthony Joshua in a unification fight. Parker did make history that night, though, as the first boxer to take Joshua to 12 rounds.
Since then, Parker has had mixed results. He's beaten Derek Chisora twice but lost to Dillian Whyte and Joe Joyce. His recent form, however, has been impressive. He's scored two big wins, outpointing both Deontay Wilder, the hard-hitting American, and Zhilei Zhang, the tall Chinese heavyweight.
Parker seems confident about his chances. He recently posted "AND NEW." on X, hinting at his plan to take the belt from Dubois.
AND NEW.
Dubois, known as "DDD", is on a hot streak. The British knockout artist has stopped his last three opponents - Jarrell Miller, Fillip Hrgovic, and Joshua - all within the past year.
The fight will be part of a big boxing event in Saudi Arabia. The main event that night will be a rematch between Artur Beterbiev, the undisputed light heavyweight champion, and Dmitry Bivol.
This heavyweight clash comes at the right time and will likely be action-packed. Parker will have his work cut out for him as he tries to take the title from the in-form Dubois.
