Mike Tyson's Last Trainer Delivers Blunt Assessment of Jake Paul's Chances: "He's Not Ready"

Mike Tyson will step back into the boxing ring in a month for a match against Jake Paul. The fight will happen on November 15 at AT&T; Stadium in Arlington, Texas, and fans can watch it live on Netflix.

Tyson, known as 'Iron' Mike, made history as the youngest ever heavyweight champion. But his career took some tough turns. He spent time in prison, faced problems outside the ring, and his career got derailed. Many think he didn't reach his full potential. In 2005, Tyson decided to retire after losing two fights in a row. He said he just didn't want to fight anymore.

Jeff Fenech, an Australian former world champion turned trainer, shared his thoughts on the upcoming fight. Fenech was Tyson's last trainer and got him ready for his exhibition match with Roy Jones Jr in 2022. Right now, Fenech is recovering from heart surgery.

"I'd much prefer him not fight at all, but he's going to fight," Fenech said in an interview with Mirror Fighting. "If Mike uses upstairs and nothing else, and does the right things, this could be the easiest money he's ever made."

Fenech thinks the fight might not last long. He said, "The fight could be over in 30 seconds." He advised Tyson to use his smarts and not try to punch when Paul is punching. Instead, Tyson should make Paul miss and then make him pay.

The former trainer doesn't think much of Paul's boxing skills. "Jake Paul doesn't have the skill, the boxing knowledge," Fenech said. He pointed out that Tyson was a great defensive fighter as a heavyweight, able to slip punches and make opponents miss.

Fenech doesn't believe Paul can handle Tyson's power. He said, "There's not a chance in the world Jake Paul can take a Mike Tyson hook, a Mike Tyson right hand or a Mike Tyson uppercut."

About Paul, Fenech added, "I've watched him but anyone can punch a pad or a bag or someone who really can't fight. When you're bigger and you're stronger, that's all good."

Fenech cares a lot about Tyson. He said, "I love Mike, he's a great friend, he's like family to me."

The fight has stirred up some controversy. But in a month, we'll see if Tyson can turn back the clock against the younger Paul.
