Tyson Fury Admits Pre-Fight Concerns: "We Were So Worried"

Tyson Fury is getting ready for another shot at Oleksandr Usyk in December. The heavyweight boxer wants to make up for his first professional loss, which happened in May.

Fury lost to Usyk by a close decision in their previous fight. The match had high stakes, as Fury was trying to become the undisputed heavyweight champion. A key moment in that bout was when Fury got an 8 count in the 9th round.

Now, as he prepares for the rematch in Saudi Arabia, Fury seems confident. He told TNT Sports Boxing:

"I'm ready to rock and roll. Listen, I don't need a 12-week camp. I've been boxing all my life. I'm ready to go tonight, tomorrow, next weekend. Sunday, Monday, Wednesday. It doesn't really matter. I can come in the ring at 30 stone and do 15 rounds. I'm a natural at it."

Fury also revealed he had problems before the last fight. He got a cut that made it hard to train properly. The injury delayed the fight and affected his sparring.

"All I need is five or six weeks sparring, good sparing this time where I've not got a cut that is going to open up. We worried so much about the cut in the camp because there was a massive payday on this cut. And the cut wasn't even a factor in the fight so now, cushty, can't wait."

The cut was serious, needing 16 stitches across his left eye. It took 7 or 8 weeks to heal, and Fury had to be careful for another 6 or 7 weeks while training.

Fury has bounced back before. He's a former two-time world champion who had three big fights with Deontay Wilder. The first ended in a draw, but Fury won the next two by knockout.

People are wondering if Fury will change his strategy for the rematch. He might be more aggressive, like he was against Wilder in their later fights.

With the rematch set for December, Fury has time to prepare without the worry of a cut. He's eager to prove himself and try again to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.
