Ryan Garcia Declares Surprise Victor in Mayweather-Crawford Dream Match: "He's Different"

None

Ryan Garcia believes Floyd Mayweather would beat Terence Crawford in a fantasy fight. The young boxer shared his thoughts in a recent interview with SAY CHEESE.

Garcia didn't hold back when talking about Crawford's skills. He said:

[Crawford] is not that good. He gets hit a lot. He's not that untouchable You're acting like he's Mayweather. He's not. Mayweather was different. Mayweather got hit by one guy, that's it, Sugar Shane Mosely. And Maidana hurt him a little bit too but the main one was Mosley. He's not Mayweather. He's a good fighter, he is his own person. I don't think he's not a great fighter but he's not as great as people say. He hasn't fought nobody that has power.

Garcia pointed out that Crawford gets hit more often than Mayweather did. He mentioned that only Sugar Shane Mosley landed significant shots on Mayweather, with Marcos Maidana causing some trouble too.

Crawford's recent success has got people talking about this dream matchup. He's a former two-weight undisputed champion and just won another belt after moving up to 154 lbs. Mayweather, on the other hand, retired in 2017 with a perfect 50-0 record after beating Conor McGregor.

Crawford has turned down a fight with Jaron 'Boots' Ennis and wants to face Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez at super-middleweight instead.

Garcia himself is dealing with some issues. He's serving a drugs ban after testing positive following his April fight with Devin Haney. Garcia won that bout, putting Haney down several times. But he missed weight and didn't win the belts. The result was later changed to a no-contest because of the failed drug test.
