Prominent Ukrainian promoter Oleksandr Krassyuk shared his thoughts on a possible showdown between former heavyweight world champions Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

Oleksandr Krassyuk believes the long-discussed fight between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua has moved beyond fantasy matchmaking and into must-make territory for boxing.

According to the Ukrainian promoter, Fury vs. Joshua remains one of the biggest fights still available in today’s heavyweight division. From a promotional standpoint, fan demand, pay-per-view appeal, and overall buzz, Krassyuk sees it as the kind of event that has been building for years and still carries major commercial weight.

Krassyuk pointed to Fury’s stance after his recent bout, saying the British star made it clear he is not focused on any other opponent. In his view, this is no longer about titles, legacy, or even money — it is specifically about Joshua, which Krassyuk framed as a telling sign of how seriously Fury views the matchup.

On Joshua’s side, Krassyuk noted that the former champion has said talk of the fight only becomes meaningful once a contract is signed. Still, Krassyuk suggested that stage now feels more procedural than uncertain. In his opinion, Fury vs. Joshua is no longer just one possible option among many, but something closer to an obligation — a fight the two British heavyweights owe to fans who have waited years to see it happen.
