Top Trainer Robert Garcia Reveals Surprising Pick for Crawford-Mayweather Fantasy Fight: "It's Not Even Close"

None

Terence Crawford and Floyd Mayweather are getting people talking about a fantasy match-up. Boxing fans can't help but wonder how these two incredible fighters would stack up against each other.

Crawford's achievements are hard to ignore. He's become undisputed champion in both the lightweight and welterweight divisions. Recently, he added another feather to his cap by defeating Israil Madrimov for a 154 lb title, making him a champion in his fourth weight class.

On the other side, we've got Mayweather. He's retired now, but his legacy is still fresh in everyone's minds. With world titles in several weight classes and an unbeaten 50-0 record, he's the measuring stick for top fighters.

Mayweather hasn't completely stepped away from the ring. He recently took part in an exhibition fight against John Gotti III, where he showed he's still got skills and fitness. He dominated much of the contest, reminding everyone why he's considered a boxing legend.

Top trainer Robert Garcia, who coaches stars like Jesse 'Bam' Rodriguez and Vergil Ortiz, shared his thoughts on this fantasy match-up with Fight Hub TV. He believes Mayweather's still got it:

"Mayweather could still beat a lot of champions. Maybe at welterweight, he could beat most of the champions right now. He'll probably beat [WBA regular champion] Eimantas Stanionis, [WBC champion] Mario Barrios, [WBO champion] Brian Norman Jr."

But when it comes to Crawford, Garcia sees things differently:

"Crawford is too big and strong for him at this moment. Mayweather's 46, 47 actually, so there is no way."

Crawford's future in the ring is up in the air. There's talk about various opponents, but according to promoter Eddie Hearn, Crawford might only come back for a fight against Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez, the current super-middleweight champion.

While we might never see Crawford and Mayweather face off in reality, it's fun to imagine how these two boxing greats would match up. Their skills, achievements, and impact on the sport will keep fans debating for years to come.
