Oleksandr Usyk Reveals Surprising Pick for Fury-Joshua Showdown: "He's Evolved"

Oleksandr Usyk thinks Anthony Joshua will beat Tyson Fury if they ever fight. The undisputed heavyweight champion shared his thoughts after facing both British boxers in the ring.

Usyk knows Joshua and Fury well. He beat AJ twice, first as a big underdog at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in 2021, then again in Saudi Arabia in 2022. In that rematch, Usyk had to survive some heavy shots late in the fight. This May, he edged out Fury in a close decision to become the first undisputed heavyweight champ since Lennox Lewis over 20 years ago.

When asked who'd win between AJ and the Gypsy King, Usyk told Boxing King Media:

"I guess Anthony, 'AJ'. I guess 'AJ'."

Joshua's been on a roll lately with three stoppage wins. He'll try to become a three-time world champ when he faces Daniel Dubois for the IBF belt this September.

Usyk's got his own fight coming up too. He'll defend his undisputed crown against Fury again in December. If Fury wins that one, we might see him take on Joshua after all.

Not everyone agrees with Usyk's prediction, though. Otto Wallin, who's also fought both Brits, picks Fury to win that matchup.

For now, all eyes are on Usyk vs Fury II. Some think Fury was holding back in their first fight and will come out stronger in the rematch. We'll have to wait and see if Usyk can keep his spot at the top of the heavyweight division.
