Tyson Fury Praises Unexpected Heavyweight Rival: "He's A Superstar"

Tyson Fury is getting ready for his big rematch with Oleksandr Usyk. The two heavyweights will face off again in December to settle who's the best in the division.

Their first fight in May was a big deal. It was the first time in almost 25 years that all the heavyweight belts were on the line. Usyk won that one on points, handing Fury his first professional loss. The fight had a key moment in the ninth round when Usyk pushed Fury to the ropes, and Fury got a 10 count.

After the fight, Fury said he'd been having too much fun in the ring and promised to be more focused this time around. He's now in camp, working hard to make good on that promise.

But Fury's not just focused on Usyk. He's also been talking about another top heavyweight, Anthony Joshua. In a recent interview with Boxing King Media, Fury showed a lot of respect for AJ's journey. He said:

"AJ is the same, he's come from the estate, come from nothing, from Nigerian parents, came from a foreign country to England. He's come from the ghetto, and he's made his way up to become a global superstar. If that doesn't deserve 100% respect, then I don't know what does."

Fury knows what it's like to come from humble beginnings. He told a story about Ola Afolabi giving him a pair of Winning boxing gloves. Fury wore those gloves for four years until they fell apart. It shows how far he's come in his own career.

There's a chance we could see Fury and Joshua in the ring together next year. If Fury wins his rematch with Usyk, and Joshua beats Daniel Dubois in September, we might get that big undisputed clash everyone's been waiting for.

For now, though, Fury's got his eyes on Usyk. He'll need all his focus to turn the tables in December and reclaim his spot at the top of the heavyweight division.
