Ruiz: "I'm not too worried about the two-year downtime."

Former unified heavyweight world champion Andy Ruiz is confident that his lengthy career hiatus won't affect his performance in his upcoming fight with Jarrell Miller.

"Will the downtime have an impact? I was asked the same thing before the fight with Luis Ortiz, but I have to admit that I was a bit nervous then. Of course, if you perform all the time, it takes a toll on your speed and reaction, but I didn't quit training. We did a lot of paw work, a lot of sparring. I feel like my speed and combination work is fine.

We're going to win. I'm not too worried about the two-year downtime. I am happy, I am back in action. This is just the beginning," said Ruiz in an interview with YouTube channel Fight Hub TV.

Recall, the fight Ruiz - Miller will take place on August 4 in Los Angeles, USA.
