Ricky Hatton, British boxing legend, is looking forward to the fight between Daniel Dubois (21-2, 20 KOs) and Anthony Joshua (28-3, 25 KOs), and he has his favorite in the fight. The IBF awarded Daniel the world heavyweight title thanks to a rematch between Fury and Usyk, and his fight against AJ will be his first defense. The fight is scheduled for September 21 at Wembley Stadium in London.
If Joshua wins, he will join an elite group of five fighters who have become three-time heavyweight champions. Only Muhammad Ali (3), Michael Moorer (3), Evander Holyfield (4), Lennox Lewis (3) and Vitali Klitschko (3) have achieved that before him.
"Dubois has a chance as he's had his last few fights in a row. This is the perfect time for him to fight in this fight, but personally I'm betting on Joshua. He'll be stronger in the ring and with a new trainer he's got his confidence back. The arsenal of both is impressive, but AJ's arsenal seems better at the moment. Under Ben Davison's guidance Joshua has relaxed a bit, he's hitting harder than he used to, but I also have a higher appreciation for his technical skills. That's why I'm betting on AJ," Hatton stated.
