Gvozdik: "We could have done more, but Benavides was also making adjustments"

Former world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Gvozdyk has spoken out for the first time about his defeat to WBC interim belt holder American David Benavides.

"Unfortunately, it didn't work out the way we wanted it to. We could have done more and better and earlier, but the opponent also made adjustments. Shit happens, keep working. Congratulations to the opposing team for the win and a successful performance.

Thanks to my whole team for every moment we spent together. I will have a little rest and return to the hall. Glory to Ukraine," - wrote Gvozdik in Instagram.

Recall that last weekend Gvozdik lost to Benvides by unanimous decision of judges.
