Alvarez successfully defended his titles by beating Munguia on points

On the night of May 5, Las Vegas hosted an evening of boxing, which was headlined by a fight between absolute world champion in the super middleweight division Saul Alvarez and Jaime Munguia.

Alvarez came into this fight as the favorite and was able to prove his status. Canelo defeated Munguia, who had never lost before, by unanimous decision of the judges. The scores were 117-110, 116-111 and 115-112 in favor of the champion.

It should be noted that Munguia was on the canvas as the fight progressed.
