Saul Alvarez, absolute world super middleweight champion, commented on Ryan Garcia's win over WBC Welterweight champion Devin Haney.
"I wasn't surprised. Ryan has a lot of talent and I'm happy for him. I saw the fight and I was very happy. A little nervous, but I was happy for him," Alvarez told reporters at the press conference.
The fight between Garcia and Haney took place on April 21 and ended with Ryan winning by majority decision. At the same time, Devin retained his championship belt, because Ryan failed the weigh-in before the fight.
We will remind, on May 4, Saul Alvarez will have to fight with his compatriot Jaime Munguia.
