On the night of April 21 at the Barclays Center Arena in Brooklyn, New York, the highly anticipated WBC super lightweight champion bout between Devin Haney (31-1, 15 KOs) and Ryan Garcia (25-1, 20 KOs) took place.

The fight went the full distance of 12 rounds and ended with Garcia winning by majority decision (112-112, 114-110, 115-109). Ryan did not get the title as he did not meet the weight class limit.
